The Challenge Cup is a Stroke play competition for Team, Scratch and Handicap.
Each Hadrian League club sends two representatives, one to play in a scratch competition and one in a nett competition.
Competitors play stroke play in their respective divisions. They are awarded points according to their finishing position. Both players' points are added together and the total determines the winners of the team competition.
In the event of a tie the team with the best individual gross score wins.
Countback applies using the back 9, back 6 and back 3. If scores are still tied then the individual holes are compared in index order starting with stroke index one.
As well as the team trophy there are trophies for the best individual gross and nett scores. Tied scores also decided on back 9, back 6, etc.
